  • Travel Smart: Pack light, and if you have prescribed medications, remember to bring them along.
  • Know the Facilities: Familiarize yourself with the location of essential services such as hospitals, food stalls, and emergency assistance points.
  • Emergency Contacts: Keep a list of emergency contact numbers readily available.
  • Authorized Bathing Areas: Only use the designated bathing areas/ghats approved by the Mela authorities.
  • Waste Disposal: Always use dustbins to dispose of your waste and keep the surroundings clean.
  • Wayfinding: Follow the signage to navigate the area efficiently.
  • Parking: Park your vehicle in the designated parking zones and adhere to traffic regulations.
  • Report Suspicious Items: Notify the police or Mela officials if you notice any unidentified or suspicious objects.
  • Follow Instructions: Stay updated with instructions announced via the Public Address System or other communication channels.
  • Cooperate with Organizers: Work closely with the departments and authorities responsible for organizing the event.
  • Safeguard Belongings: Keep your personal items secure, and if anything goes missing, report to the Lost & Found centers immediately.

  • Exercise Caution: Be cautious when interacting with strangers and avoid eating at unverified or unauthorized food stalls.
  • Stay Calm: Refrain from provoking or engaging in unnecessary conflicts with others.   
  • Stay Safe in the River: Do not venture beyond the allowed limits when entering the river.
  • Preserve the River: Avoid polluting the rivers by using soaps, detergents, or by discarding offerings and ceremonial items.
  • Health Awareness: If you have a contagious illness, stay away from crowded areas to prevent spreading it to others.
  • Plastic-Free Zone: Refrain from using plastic bags within the city and the Mela grounds during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
  • Respect Cleanliness: Do not engage in open defecation—use the available sanitation facilities.
